At Chapel Street Nursery, we pride ourselves on providing a warm, nurturing, and personal environment where every child is valued and supported as an individual. Situated within the heart of Checkley at the Community Centre on Uttoxeter Road, Stoke-on-Trent, our nursery offers a safe, engaging space where children can learn, play and grow with confidence.

We are a small, community-oriented setting with a strong emphasis on personal care, quality interactions, and early years development. Our dedicated team of qualified early years practitioners bring together over 80 years of combined experience, with our manager holding a degree in Early Childhood Studies. Each member of our team is passionate about giving children the very best start in life.

Our nursery has a rich heritage, originally based at the Tudor Methodist Church, where we supported families for nearly four decades. In 2022, we moved into the vibrant Checkley Community Centre, continuing our long-standing commitment to high-quality early years education.

Chapel Street Nursery is a registered charity, operated by a volunteer-led committee as a PVI (Private, Voluntary and Independent) setting. We are proud to offer government-funded childcare – up to 30 hours a week – for working parents with children aged from 9 months and above.
